What is Stainless Steel Hex Bar?
The Stainless Steel Hex Bars have enhanced strength and that is why they are used in a wide range of applications. The additional strength is due to the geometric shape of the hex bars. If the hex bar is made of austenitic stainless steel, then they have greater strength and higher corrosion resisting properties. The Stainless Steel Hex Bars can be customized to different shapes and sizes according to the specific requirements. The characteristics of the hex bars is also dependent on its chemical composition. Most of the stainless steel products have chromium and nickel in its alloy, which also enhances its corrosion resistance and strength properties. Because of this, they are seen in several structural and construction applications.
What is SS Hexagonal Rod used for?
The stainless steel hexagonal rods are used in a wide range of applications. They are mostly seen in all kinds of structural and constructional applications. These rods are quite versatile and hence they are used as equipment in industries like chemical, food processing, marine, petroleum, sea water, etc. These rods are available with different surface finishes which can easily be customized according to specific requirements. The length, size, and tolerance of these hex rods can be customized easily and hence they are suitable for various uses.
316 vs 304 Stainless Steel Hex Bar
The primary difference between 316 Stainless Steel Hex Bar and 304 Stainless Steel Hex Bar are in their chemical composition. The ss 304 material consists of 18% chromium, and 8% nickel, whereas the ss 316 material has 16% chromium, 10% nickel, and 2% molybdenum. The addition of the molybdenum helps to enhance the corrosion resistance properties of the 316 Stainless Steel Hex Bar.
