The material is strong and corrosion resistant to mild corrosive agents. It has 205MPa minimum yield strength and 515MPa minimum tensile strength and 870 degrees Celsius operating temperature. However, the 316 Stainless Steel Square Tube Sizes are used in aqueous conditions and in chloride ion rich environment because the 304 grade does not have enough corrosion resistance against the chloride ion corrosion. The 316 material has added molybdenum to overcome this obstacle.
